  1. Are pets permitted? If so, how much are pet fees?

    Bank Street Commons welcomes pets. Dogs are permitted on floors 1-8 and cats are permitted on any floor. Dogs are $50 per month in rent per pet and cats are $35 per month in rent per pet. There is a non-refundable $300 fee per dog per apartment and a non-refundable $150 fee per cat per apartment. There is also a limit of two pets per apartment and breed restrictions on dogs.   2. Is my security deposit totally refundable?

    At the end of your lease your security deposit is returned to you plus any earned interest (after 24 months of residency). However, monies will be deducted for any damages or other charges owed on the account. A mandatory $150 carpet shampooing charge is assessed to all residents.

  3. If I get a job transfer, can I break the lease?

    Yes, we understand that certain unforeseen occurrences may happen. When they do, please notify our office immediately and we will be able to explain in more detail. Lease break fees will apply.

  4. What utilities are included in my lease?

    At Bank Street Commons it is your responsibility to pay for all utilities. You will be automatically enrolled in the gas and electric billing when you move in. You will receive a rent statement each month which will detail your rent and utility charges. Water is a flat $10/month. Electric is submetered and billed based on the electric you consume. Gas is allocated, which means it is shared among all residents based on the occupancy of the apartment and on the size of the apartment. Your heating system uses a combination of gas and electric. If you choose, you may also sign up for cable, Internet and phone. Bank Street Commons is pre-wired for Cablevision and Verizon FiOS. Please contact our office to find out how to begin these services.

  5. How long is the term of the lease? Do you accept short-term leases?

    Bank Street Commons generally offers 12-month leases, but shorter or longer lease terms are frequently available for an additional rent. Please contact our office to find the most up-to-date availability and lease terms.

  6. If something needs to be repaired in my apartment, how do I report it?

    Great news, you are at a Bozzuto community and have access to award-winning maintenance! If a need arises for a work order to be performed in your apartment, all you need to do is contact our office by phone at 914.684.8200, email at bankstreet@bozzuto.com or stop by and let us know. You can also enter the work order yourself through BuildingLink. If you need assistance with your BuildingLink log-in, please see the Concierge. If there is an after-hours emergency please call the Concierge at 914.684.0874 or our after-hours answering service at 877.375.0536 and you will be placed in touch with the proper personnel.

  7. When is my rent payment due? When is it late?

    All rent is due on the first of the month and is late on the second. However, you have a grace period of five days to pay your rent without a late fee. If rent is not received on or before the fifth of the month, a ten percent late fee is assigned to the account. Instructions on how to set up automatic payments are included on every rent statement. You may also contact our office with any questions.

  8. There is a person who might be staying with me for a while. Is that permitted by the lease?

    We welcome our residents to bring their guests to show them your great home here at Bank Street Commons. However, please remember that since these guests are not residents, they may only stay a short time.

  9. Do you have reserved and visitor parking?

    Our residents have access to garage parking located under the buildings. Most of the parking is unreserved and is $150/month. We have a limited number of reserved parking spaces at $225/month. Please contact our office to discuss availability and pricing. We offer visitor parking on the upper level of the garage. Visitors must pay for their parking at the pay station located nearby.

  10. I have a motorcycle, where can I park it?

    A motorcycle is welcome to be parked in our resident parking area. Please contact our office for availability of parking.

  11. My children live with me in the summer; do I need to notify your office when they arrive?

    Yes, all occupants will need to be listed on your lease agreement. For those persons over the age of 18, a background check must be performed.

  12. Will you accept my delivery packages for me?

    As a resident here at Bank Street Commons, you will have access to many great amenities; one of them being our award-winning service. Packages will be accepted by our concierge and you can pick them up 24-hours/day.

  13. I have family coming to visit me – do you have a guest suite that they can stay in?

    Yes, we have a fully furnished two-bedroom, two-bathroom guest suite available at a prepaid rate of $175/night. These guest suites may be reserved up to two months in advance. Please stop by our leasing office to check on availability and to learn more about the reservation process.

  14. I am interested in upgrading to a larger apartment – are transfers allowed?

    Yes, we will permit you to transfer to a different apartment if you’ve lived at the community at least six months. You are required to provide 30 days written notice and pay a transfer fee equal to one month’s rent. You are also required to pay back any concession you received on your original apartment home. We will also permit you to transfer at the end of year lease, in which case the transfer fee would not apply.
